☺ Don’t be afraid to ask how much services will cost. Weddings are expensive. Planners should be able to quote you prices and not tie you into complicated contracts.

☺ Does the planner offer the services you need? A versatile and creative planner will provide a number of packages or a range of tailored or bespoke packages to suit your needs. Some planners specialise in coordination of the day only or planning the whole wedding so it’s good to have an idea of how involved you want the planner to be in your planning from the beginning.

☺ A great planner will help to alleviate your stress levels by carrying out some of the tasks you would normally have to do which might include securing and confirming contracts with suppliers, liaising with suppliers on your behalf. A great planner will also help you to keep within your budget or blow your budget if that’s what you want!

☺ Ask as many questions as you want. It’s your wedding and a planner should listen to your ideas and incorporate as many of them into the overall theme of your day.
